Jim Ryan, president and CEO, will leave PlayStation in 2024

After 30 years of work in Sony Interactive EntertainmentJim Ryan will cease to be its CEO in March 2024. This was announced in a statement in which he thanks the PlayStation community, explaining that he is doing this for personal reasons, as it is becoming increasingly difficult for him to balance while working on the United States and living in the United Kingdom.

From award-winning games to the incredibly exciting technical advancements achieved with PlayStation 5, I’m extremely proud of what we’ve achieved and very optimistic about the future of Sony Interactive Entertainment.”

He will remain in this position until March 31, 2024, when he will be succeeded by Hiroki Totoki, who will become SIE’s interim chief executive while remaining in his current role at Sony Group Corporation. Jim Ryan joined PlayStation in 1994 and was appointed CEO of SIE in February 2019.
