Even so, in this case they could have made a mistake and inadvertently revealed to us a VR project which seems to indicate to us that they will be developing or testing some kind virtual reality glasses. We don’t know much more, but let’s take a look at everything that has been revealed.
New virtual reality glasses?
And the news would come out as a result of a update in steam in which he shows us this data through it internal code programming. The fact that not everyone begins to analyze, but someone is always looking for something interesting among them, and this time it was found.
It was Brad Lynch, technical analyst and data mining expert at Steam who discovered this. Apparently, we are talking about the battery of the new virtual reality glasses. Data that should not be there just for the sake of it, but rather they tell us that if they were included, it is because they will test the system for this, that is, whether physically or as a project, there are some points that they intend to release at some point.

The update also mentions that some new UI elements, icons and animations have been added to the virtual reality part of the Steam client, which is not something to do with competing products, so it is suspected that this will be its own Valve (creator of Steam) who would develop them.
Meanwhile, the Korea National Radio Research Institute (RAA) recently certified Valve’s “low-power wireless device.” It’s unclear if this device is actually VR glasses or a headset, as the radio authentication only mentions that it uses the 5GHz wireless frequency band.
Valve is notorious for not releasing anything until it’s complete, and given the competition from Apple or Meta in that regard, it would be unwise to design a product to compete with them and release it bundled with Steam with exclusive features.

IT Home noticed that in early 2022, Valve boss Gabe Newell named his portable Steam Deck “a stepping stone to standalone VR hardware” and said Steam Deck “can be used for VR.”
All this data makes us think about many things, and very exciting. But since everything has to be taken with a grain of salt, we’re not going to venture, we’ll wait for more data and information on all of this. Although it seems that they are up to something, which is always good.
Do you think they’ll be releasing something VR exclusive related to Steam? Are they just tests that lead to nothing? How do you see it? We hope to find out more soon and let you know.
