Now that Final Fantasy VII Rebirth and Final Fantasy XVI have hit the market, it’s time for Square Enix to look to the future and prepare the release of the next AAA games. We recently learned that Dragon Quest XII: The Flames of Fate is not yet ready to be shown to the world, but What’s up with Kingdom Hearts 4?
The fourth numbered part of the saga directed by Tetsuya Nomura It was first announced in April 2022. Since then, fans have been waiting for the company to share more information about its story, Disney worlds or gaming news. And with the infamous “No-E3” coming up, many thought Summer Game Fest would be the perfect place for Kingdom Hearts to re-emerge in style. Unfortunately, we already know that this will not happen.
Kingdom Hearts 4 will not be at Summer Game Fest

- In the said show, as reported by the user xenosaga7turned to the topic a a possible Kingdom Hearts 4 announcement at his event and confirmed what some feared: will have to keep waiting⏳
- “I don’t know why, but I see a lot of people asking about Kingdom Hearts. Is it because we showed Final Fantasy VII Rebirth last year? (laughs) People prepare for failure, but you can keep waiting for it”commented Kaylee 😟
- With these statements, promoter SGF seems to be making it clear that there won’t be a new KH4 trailer, so fans will have to wait for the Tokyo Game Show or even Disney’s D23 which is celebrated at the end of the year😥
These statements made fans of Kingdom Hearts quite uncomfortable, and despite the pessimism, some still believe that the next part can be shown at the Xbox event. Recently there were rumors that KH4 looks very different from what was shown in the first trailerso you might have to wait longer than you thought to play it.
Finally, I would like to remind you that although there is no official confirmation, this title is expected to be in development for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
