Square Enix is releasing a new patch (1.33.) for Final Fantasy 16, but the JRPG’s performance issues on PS5 have yet to be resolved.
It was one of the great releases of last year, despite some technical issues at launch. We’re talking about Final Fantasy XVI, one of the best PS5 exclusives since its release almost four years ago.
Although Yossi-P and his team They are still working on Final Fantasy 16 port for PC (which requires significant optimization), the game remains a temporary PlayStation exclusive.
Since appearing in stores, Clive’s epic has been updated several times, also receiving two expansions/DLC like Echoes of the Fallen and The Rising Tide.
But what about title performance issues? While the combat looks spectacular, there are still some serious issues with the exploration stages of Valisteia’s world.

- Minor inconsistencies in Vivian’s account of the state of the kingdom that do not affect the story.
- Incorrect information in Vivian’s kingdom status report.
- Skill execution on all controller types is limited to the buttons assigned to trained iconic skills (Hold) + Attack/Magic.
- Some commands do not work properly when using a custom command layout.
- Minor spelling and grammar errors.
