In recent years, Square Enix has given new life to classic Mana series titles. Now during The Game Awards it became known Visions of Manaa completely original delivery, the gameplay of which seems to be similar to a remake Trials of Mana. The title is coming to PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC at some point in 2024.
Visions of Mana This is the first completely original part of the series in 15 years. This time we take on the role of Val, a newly appointed soul guardian who embarks on a journey around the world to accompany her friend on her pilgrimage to the Mana Tree. It will be an action-packed part in which we will be able to explore a bright semi-open 3D world, meeting terrible enemies and unlikely allies on our way. This is the title description:
“Immerse yourself in the vivid landscapes of this beautiful world where the forces of nature combine with the elemental aspects of mana to create a rich tapestry of life. Travel through magical locations with nearly seamless transitions in the semi-open countryside you can discover.
Every four years, alms from around the world are chosen to travel to the Mana Tree and rejuvenate the flow of mana power. A guardian of the soul is also chosen to ensure the safe pilgrimage of alms. Val is one of those guards. When Val’s childhood friend is chosen to distribute alms, he embarks on a journey around the world to accompany her on her pilgrimage. Go on the adventure of your life!”
As seen in the trailer, the game will feature gameplay similar to that of the remake Trials of Mana, though much more perfect. We’ll just have to wait for its launch to find out how Square Enix plans to breathe new life into the series. Visions of Mana It will arrive on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC at some point in 2024.
