60 FPS is coming to consoles along with improvements and new accessibility options

Redfall’s first bite barely left a mark. Performance issues, development issues, a low input multiplayer formula, and a reception that didn’t excite players. In fact, Phil Spencer himself admitted that he did not live up to expectations. Another thing that Xbox Game Studios overlooked was the game: six months after launch, Arkane Austin delivers on its promise by including vampire purges at 60 FPS on consoles. Just in time for Halloween!

Without notice, Bethesda has started rolling out a new big update for the Redfall in which performance mode is added to all systems. This allows Xbox Series X/S players to have a smoother experience at the expense of reduced visual quality. Honestly, given the cartoony aesthetic of the game, making adjustments is unlikely to affect the art department. And that 60 frames per second isn’t the only new thing coming to the cursed city of Bethesda.

Starting the game, we notice that the streets and points of interest in Redfall are much more lively. This is because the population density of enemies has been increased, and for that matter, the gameplay in combat has been adjusted. Are you looking for trouble? In the process, this was used to add more special encounters with powerful creatures. According to Arkane Austin, even the activities and behavior of enemies have been affected to prevent players from being hit by friendly fire.

In addition to these improvements to the overall experience, several common issues have been fixed. Some are related to the game suddenly closing, and others to trophies that were not achieved in team play. Also, from now on, pointing or marking on the map in multiplayer is easier and has been designed to be more user-friendly and intuitive. Last but not least, many special features have been added, including a narrator and light sensitivity options.

Too late for Redfall? Well, more like an update that comes just in time for Halloween. Which doesn’t stop Bethesda from getting a well-deserved slap in the face, making the game feel finished almost six months after its launch. A problem that is becoming more and more common for almost all companies with very few exceptions.

And although the right thing would be to add more content or topic ideas Redfall in connection with Halloween, it is worth noting that even with a modest reception of the game, it is given a new opportunity to shine. After all, the novelty is not to release cooperative multiplayer in 2023, but to continue its support six months later. Among other things, for all those players who bet on the game from day one.
