After years of waiting from the players and working from the side Square Enixit finally hits stores today Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, without a doubt, one of the most anticipated games of the year. The critics have spoken, and on top of that, it’s also recognized as one of the early GOTY nominees, so the team can rest easy. One of the people responsible for the game, Yoshinori Kitase, already knows what to do with all the free time he has ahead of him, which won’t be too much either, as the Japanese have to start working on the third part.
In an interview during the BAFTA ceremony, Kitase admitted that his passion for video games began with The Legend of Zelda the original NES, also recognized as a fan of the Nintendo saga, waiting for the final installment, one of the best games of 2023.

“I love the whole saga,” says Final Fantasy VII Rebirth’s producer. “I don’t think he played everything, and his to spin upbut most of them, including the last one, Tears of the kingdom. “I’m actually close to finishing it, but my work on Final Fantasy VII Rebirth has kept me very busy at the moment, and I’ve put it on hold since then.”
In the same interview, Kitase assures that even though he didn’t play Tears of The Kingdom as much as he would have liked, he did beat one of his favorite games from last year: Pikmin 4. “There are still things I haven’t done, so I wanted to go back and do all of that,” Kitase admits. “I like how they die very quickly when they go it alone, but they come back together as a group and try to achieve something,” he concludes, recommending one of the many fantastic games of 2023 that went unnoticed until the giants came out, like Baldur’s gate 3, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 on the offer of Tears of the Kingdom.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is now available on PlayStation 5.
