Final Fantasy VII Rebirth would sell 2 million copies

Estimated numbers for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth were released this Thursday (11) by Ampere Analysis. According to the firm, Square Enix has sold two million copies of this long-awaited RPG, released on February 29 of this year.

Since Square doesn’t publish this data officially, one can only try to identify this type of thing by doing some estimation. In the case of FFVII, Ampere analyzed usage data for the digital version of the game. And with such an analysis, at least two million people would play.

As Push Square points out, that number was relatively lower than FFVII Remake’s 3.5 million. FFXVI registered around 3 million.
