If you like to customize the look of your phone on the screen and you currently own a Samsung Galaxy phone, there is a new update that you will want to check out.
Samsung has released an update to the Theme Park module in the Good Lock app, allowing Galaxy phone owners to play with the themes, colors and overall aesthetics of the One UI 8 operating system.
Most Galaxy owners should be able to see the new features available in this update, but some of them are exclusive to the One UI 8.5 update, which is gradually rolling out to supported devices.
A few changes for immersion
SamMobile notes that the update (version 1.1.01.38) brings with it a number of changes, the first of which is a bookmark feature that allows you to mark your favorite themes to easily switch between your favorite themes. Tapping the heart icon at the top of the screen while viewing a topic will add it to your favorites.
Editing icons has also been made easier as Samsung has improved the user interface of this tool by dividing it into three different sections; Shapes, effects and icons.
On top of that, there’s a new icon effect called Emboss (which adds depth) and an icon option called Monochrome (for a clean, minimalist finish), both of which can change the look of your app icons. Additionally, according to Samsung’s changelog, the Quick Panel icon preview has been updated.
Finally, this feature is only available for Samsung Galaxy phones with One UI 8.5. You can now customize the color of your home screen notification icons, making sure they match the rest of your theme.
Samsung’s continued focus on improving customization on its phones is what sets it apart from Android on Pixel devices, and while Apple introduced a number of customization features in iOS 26, it still lags behind Samsung.
