We’ve had various rumors and leaks about Kingdom Hearts IV for weeks. A new chapter in the Square Enix saga was announced in 2022, but we haven’t heard anything official about it since then. The game, which has been highly anticipated by fans as the start of a new story arc, has already missed the Summer Game Fest and it seems that it will not be at the Xbox Game Showcase either. Of course, according to various insiders, the game is expected to appear again at D23 in August.

The same insiders who claim that Square Enix’s current goal is to launch the game in 2026 on all modern consoles.

New leaks point to a 2026 release for Kingdom Hearts IV

Although DanielRPK, a well-known insider connected to Disney and Marvel, recently stated that Kingdom Hearts IV could arrive in 2025, the reality will be very different. And according to Midori, a Sega-related insider who has been correctly reporting on Square Enix lately, warned that the launch would take place no earlier than 2026.

This was the information on his social media where he shared, where he states that this news is the product of months of information and research. Of course, as we always recommend, you should take this with a grain of salt, as while Midori has a good success rate, this is still unofficial information. And until Disney or Square Enix speak up, we can’t be sure of anything.
