Are you excited about everything Fortnite 33.20 will bring to Battle Royale? Then it’s time to find out everything you need to know about it.

After a lot of rumors and leaks, Hatsune Miku and Godzilla are finally coming out during this update. If you need more than just skins, then Epic Games has a few more changes.

Here’s everything you need to know about Fortnite update 33.20, from gameplay changes to skin releases and everything in between.

Fortnite update 33.20 release date and downtime

The upcoming patch 33.20 will be released on January 14th. The downtime will likely start a few hours before, on January 13th, but Epic Games has not updated players without giving them a specific timeline.

As soon as the developers do this, we will update the article. As for what to expect, here are the highlights.

Fortnite Festival Season 7 Hatsune Miku

The new season of Fortnite Festival will bring more jam tracks and of course a new icon introduced as guest artists. This time it will be the virtual sensation Hatsune Miku.

We’ve got an entire guide breaking down all the Mick-themed cosmetics and skins and how you can get them once they’re released.

Of course, the Music Pass will include a ton of free and premium cosmetics, including Jam Tracks, emotes, back blings, and instruments. Even if you’re not a cheerful Miku, there’s plenty to unpack.

Fortnite Local Multiplayer Festival

Remember the old days of local Guitar Hero or Rock Band? Well, they’re coming back in the form of local multiplayer Fortnite Festival.

The option will be available for Xbox and PlayStation users, which can play with up to four players. Unfortunately, you will need an active Epic Games account linked to your Xbox or PSN usernames for each member, as guest accounts will not be allowed.

Tools like picks and picks

While Fortnite’s festival instruments haven’t seen much use outside of the mode, with update 33.20 you’ll be able to equip some guitars, keyboards, basses, drumsticks, and microphones for use in Battle Royale.

Godzilla is taking over Fortnite

The expected arrival of the cult king of the monsters Godzilla will happen during the 33.20 update.

Not only will players be able to obtain the Godzilla skin through exclusive quests, but the kaiju will terrorize Fortnite Island as a brand new boss that will roam the Season 1 Chapter 6 map.

Fortnite 33.20 skins leak

We have many rumors that Battle Royale will be getting some new skins. They may not appear during this update, and some may just not happen, so take everything with a grain of salt.

Kong and Mecha Godzilla

With Godzilla here, it makes sense that two of her iconic rivals would join him in Fortnite. While nothing more than a rumor at this point, very reliable sources have suggested that Mecha Godzilla and Kong will appear as skins in the future. It could happen as early as this week.

Devil May Cry x Fortnite

Another strong rumor suggests that Devil May Cry may appear in Fortnite. While it’s highly unlikely that this will happen during version 33.20, it’s something to look out for.

Fans are also hoping that this marks the return of the wide variety of Capcom skins that have been absent from the Fortnite Item Shop for years.

Fortnite 33.20 vaulted and unvaulted weapons

As always, expect the weapon set to change once the update is released. Once we have a full list of changes, we will add all vaulted and non-vaulted guns to this section.

And that’s all you need to know. With Fortnite update 33.20, there’s a lot to come, so there’s no better time to get into the battle royale.
