Square Enix confirms Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake platforms and promises news very soon

Square Enix has shown a teaser that precedes the news about Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake celebrate the day Dragon Quest The original premiered on May 27, 1986. “The Legend of Erdric is coming,” the company said on X (Twitter) with an image mentioning the HD-2D and platforms Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PC.

Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake was introduced in 2021 as an update Dragon Quest 3 with style Octopath Traveler and other RPGs, i.e. 2D characters in 3D worlds. This diorama has convinced many fans that it respects the retro style of JRPGs from the 90s, and also introduces lighting or blur effects for more impact.

There was practically no news in recent years and Yuji Hori, the creator of the saga, explained last September that development is going well.

Es Dragon Quest 3 or something else?

A detail that surprised players is that the teaser doesn’t mention it directly Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake but simple Dragon Quest. One theory fueled by Horia’s past statements is as follows it will now cover the Erdric Trilogy (I, II, and III), not just the third game. It would also make sense that this was one of the reasons for keeping the progress a secret for so long: changing the ambition of the game.

We will learn the news in the coming days, during one of the June events that replace the missing E3.
