Hi, I’m Foamstars producer Kosuke Akatani. With just one week to go until the launch of Foamstars, I can’t tell you how excited we are. Starting February 6th, you can join the party and battle your opponents in fast-paced, foam-filled multiplayer.
It’s also launching as one of February’s PlayStation Plus games of the month, so anyone with an active PlayStation Plus subscription will be able to grab and play at no extra cost. We invite everyone! (Foamstars will be available for purchase for $29.99 for all PlayStation players starting March 5.)
During today’s State of the Game, we reveal what to expect from Season 1 and Foamstars in general.
In addition to ranked matches and limited-time seasonal content, additional characters, maps, and even game modes will be released throughout the year. In this article, I would like to introduce you to some of the things we will be adding through the updates and give you more information about the first season: Starry Pop.
Place Party: Compete alone or with a team
Foamstars has two types of competitive matches. You can compete alone in Party for Lonestar or with a team in a party for Tribe-Vibe; both will be available for a specific period each season.
Ranked Parties will be available every season, and when you reach the highest ranks, you’ll receive awesome in-game rewards like Player Badges.
Ranks are divided into seven categories: Bronze Star, Silver Star, Gold Star, Platinum Star, Diamond Star, Superstar and Party Legend. Give it a try and try to become a legend of the party.
Extreme Party: Be cool with crazy rules
These are limited time events that will take place on two weekends each season. Players will be able to compete with different rules that change every season.
There will be two modes available in Starry Pop, the first will have all players using Mel T and the second will have all players invisible. In the last players will have to find and defeat the opposing team while the players are invisible! How to find them? The foam you throw will stick to your opponents, and the same will happen to you with the foam they throw at you, making this gamemode much different than the usual one.
Fun Friday Party YES: Try Foamstar next season
The Feliz VierneSI party will be held twice a month on weekends. Celebrating the weekend, players will be able to try out the new Foamstar that launches next season.
At Starry Pop, you can try Mr. Melena, so don’t forget to join the Happy FridayYES party.
The subscription is renewed every season
The Season Pass, which will be renewed every season, allows players to level up by earning experience while playing. Rewards will be unlocked as players rank up. Those who purchase the Premium Pass will receive immediate access to certain rewards.
Style with Foamstars
We want you to be able to customize Foamstars according to your preferences, so we have prepared many cosmetic skins that can be unlocked for free or for a fee. Also, you’ll be able to purchase exclusive skins for each season, so check them out.
Information about the next season of Foamstars
Foamstars will update content throughout the year and seasonal updates approximately every month.
Season Pass updates, Ranked Party, Extreme Party and new skins will be available every season.
In addition, we plan to release new characters, maps and game mode depending on the season.
