The creator of Cubism moves into mixed reality with Laser Dance

The creator of the simple and wonderful cubism, Thomas Van Buvel, has always been one of the first to include new Quest features (hand tracking, 120 Hz, pass mode), and his new project will be a game completely developed for mixed reality. It will be called Laser dance and will arrive in 2024.

What we have seen in many video games and movies will now be in our living room: an obstacle course of deadly laser beams. The goal is to reach the button that deactivates them, located on the other side of the room. Will it be necessary to have a lot of free space? Its creator assures that this is not the case:

You can play as long as there is 3 meters between two vertical surfaces. “It can also be done in a hallway, for example, or cover several rooms if needed.”

Laser dance It plays in the space between two buttons on opposite walls, and the minimum requirement will be that the shortest distance between them is 3 meters, no more, and it will adapt to the placement of furniture between them. It will be published for Meta Quest viewers as the first title from publisher Creature.
