While many great Pokemon players already know this top tip, one Pokemon Scarlet and Violet fan shared his findings after the battle, and it was a school day for many other fighters.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have been out for over a year now, and we’re even getting ready for the latest batch of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC in the form of The Indigo Disk.
That’s not to say fans have it all figured out; however, with the addition of more Pokemon and more different moves, the community still has room for important discoveries.

This becomes especially relevant in double battles, where possible combinations of Pokemon, moves, natures, and even held items are… well, doubled.

It’s not completely off limits though, as several comments below the post remind the OP that a Tinkaton with Mold Breaker (or another pokemon with the same ability) can ignore the effects of other abilities and then use Helping Hand.
Still, it’s very useful to know, with one user commenting under the post, “I had no idea,” while another added, “I think this mechanic is amazing, I didn’t realize Helping Hand was a status stat? »

Fortunately, user u/WealthDistributor briefly answers the question, explaining that Gholdengo is not immune to status conditions, but rather to status changes.
They explain this further by saying “it can be burned by a flamethrower, can be paralyzed by a lightning strike, but cannot be assigned a status by status moves such as willpower or thunder wave.”
Well, at least one Pokemon player learned something today, and you know what they say… “The more you know.”
