Milotic’s Best Moveset in Pokemon Go

Pokemon Go players should equip Milotic with Dragon Tail as a fast move, with Surf and Blizzard as charged moves.

Milotic can only choose one of two different fast moves, and Dragon Tail is one, despite the fact that the Water-type won’t get the STAB bonus. However, it can be an effective counter to Dragon-type Pokemon.

As for Charged Moves, Surf is an inexpensive option that can be a good weapon against Fire and Rock types. Blizzard, meanwhile, can be a very effective move against other metacentric creatures.

Is Milotich good?

Given the predominant moveset for Milatic, one would assume that Water-type Pokemon would do well against Dragon-types at higher levels of play. And you would be correct in that assumption.

Milotic ranks pretty well in Ultraleague action, as PvPoke ranked him #178 in December 2023.

Considering there are a number of powerful Flying, Fire, and Dragon types at the top of the Ultraleague meta like Pidgeot, Talonflame, and Skeledirge, Milotic isn’t a bad matchup.

However, Milotic does not rank particularly well in the big leagues. Water-type was ranked 435th in the Pokemon Go Big League on PvPoke.
