a new alliance for cloud-free productivity

Samsung continues to work on the software ecosystem for its latest hardware. The company’s System LSI division has officially made a cooperation agreement with Nota AIa company that specializes in model compression technologies to maximize the capabilities of its current processor, Exynos 2500.

This strategic move aims to improve the performance of the chip in generative artificial intelligence tasks performed directly on the device. By integrating advanced optimization tools, Samsung aims to make the processor more smoothly handle complex workloads, reducing the need to connect to the cloud and improving privacy and response speed. This is the same thing that Apple strives for with its basic models integrated into the most modern devices.

Exynos AI Studio means more optimization for Exynos 2500

Nota AI technology has been integrated directly into Exynos AI Studioa development platform that Samsung offers to build intelligent applications on its processors. This tool allows developers to compress and fine-tune AI models to work efficiently with limited smartphone resources, instead of relying on external servers.

Chulmin Joe, Samsung’s vice president of mobile software development, noted that thanks to this integration, it was possible to “increase the efficiency of developing artificial intelligence models on the device” compared to previous generations of solutions. The goal is clear: to make sure that generative AI to be viable and fast in mass consumption products.

For his part, Myungsoo Che, CEO of Nota AI, emphasizes that the collaboration goes beyond the simple delivery of software. It is the foundation where hardware and software converge to deliver high performance at the “edge”. A company that already was strategic investment from Samsung, LG and Naver, thus consolidating its technology into a commercial product with global reach, such as the Exynos 2500.
