One UI 8.5 beta may arrive on December 8 for Samsung Galaxy S25

Samsung has yet to start the One UI 8.5 beta for the Galaxy S25 series, but new reports indicate that the program will begin on December 8. The delay will be due to changes in the Galaxy S26 schedule, although numerous leaks suggest that the rollout is imminent. The beta will be phased and will start in the US, UK, Korea and Germany before expanding to other markets.

The second phase will begin on December 22 and includes India and Poland, in addition to the release of the second beta update for the initial countries. According to leaker Tarun Watts, Samsung is planning at least three betas, with the third coming in the first week of January. As always, the schedule may vary depending on development progress and issues identified during testing.

There have been several leaks of One UI 8.5 builds in recent weeks, including early builds for the Galaxy S25 Ultra and Galaxy Z Fold 7. This has fueled anticipation around the beta program, although it’s not yet clear which devices will be included in the process. The continued presence of the firmware in circulation is a clear sign that Samsung is finalizing the final details.

The date is rumored to be getting closer, with more specific details on the rollout likely coming soon. One UI 8.5 will bring visual improvements and new AI-powered features, reinforcing Samsung’s focus on mobile optimization. If the reports are true, the beta launch is only days away from becoming a reality.
