Surprisingly, last night Nintendo has released a new update for the Switch. However, this firmware version follows the trend we’ve seen in recent months, so you’d better not expect anything major, which makes sense given that this hardware has been on the market for over six years.

Nintendo Switch version 17.0.1 is now available for download, and just like in previous months, the most important thing presented is better overall system stability. However, it also mentions how the connection issue has been fixed for some games. Here’s what Nintendo has to say about it:

“Fixed a local area connection issue for some software.

General system stability improvements to improve user experience.”

Unfortunately, that’s all the 17.0.1 update offers. As a reminder, these firmware improvements are usually activated automatically, while your switch is in sleep mode. However, if this is not your case, you can always visit the desired section in the settings, a process that will not take more than five minutes.

The Nintendo Switch hit the market in 2017, and since then it has received an extensive list of updates. The first of them were the biggest, since Here we saw the arrival of Bluetooth support, the ability to create folders to organize your game libraryand much more.
