Astronomers from New Zealand and Australia used a smart telescope to capture the Orion spacecraft as it streaks through the stars at breakneck speed.
NASA sent four astronauts on a mission around the moon on April 1, the first in more than 50 years. The ten-day journey set a new distance record for humans in space.
The mission is a major step in NASA’s Artemis program, which aims to return astronauts to the lunar surface and explore the moon’s south pole for the first time.
One of the most striking pictures sent from space was a solar eclipse observed from the orbit of the moon.
But amateur astronomers on Earth have also recorded the speed at which the spacecraft was moving, using the Odyssey Pro smart telescope from the French company Unistellar.
