Apple Notes may get a powerful new advantage in iOS 26.4, according to a report

Major updates to Apple’s Siri are expected to arrive as part of iOS 26.4, and a new report suggests that they may come with a very useful new feature for Apple Notes users.

Siri updates for iOS 26.4 may come with Apple Notes integration

It’s been an exciting week as we’ve had news of the long-awaited overhaul of Siri’s AI.

On Monday, Apple and Google jointly confirmed that they have entered into a new partnership in which Gemini technology will power new Apple Intelligence features, including major updates to Siri.

Air information released a report that offers a little more detail on what to expect.

And as a heavy user of Apple Notes, one line from this report particularly struck a chord with me.

Writing by Stephanie Palazzolo, Amir Efrati and Aaron Tilley information:

Siri can also perform other types of tasks, such as creating a Notes document with a cooking recipe or information about the underlying causes of drug addiction, for example.

This appears to be related to the previously announced App Intents feature, where Siri gets new powers to perform actions within apps and even between apps.

Why I’m excited about saving Siri responses to Notes

I’m a big fan of Apple Notes and often use it to save information I get from the Internet or through AI assistants like ChatGPT and Gemini.

But now I have to do it manually. If I’m using an AI assistant via text, I’ll copy the response and paste it into Notes. It’s a little clunky, but not terrible. However, when interacting with AI using voice, there is no quick and easy way to save responses.

However, in iOS 26.4, it seems that Siri will be able to easily record information in the new Apple Note. I suspect it will also allow adding content to existing notes.

Siri previously offered some limited Notes integration. But without the brain power of the LLM, those opportunities were minimal.

But with the Gemini-based iOS 26.4 updates, I expect to use Siri as much, if not more, than other AI chatbots today. And being able to easily ask Siri to save my information to Apple Notes will be a feature I’ll use often.

Are you looking forward to using Siri’s new Apple Notes feature in iOS 26.4 and later? Let us know in the comments.
