That’s believed to be the case thanks to a new hint surrounding the new franchise project shared by Nicholas Rudowski, a developer who says on his LinkedIn page that he was involved with the project from November 2021 to April 2023.

In other words, the development of Borderlands 4 It would be at least 2021, though it could very well start production much earlier, as Rudowski doesn’t specify whether he started the project from the beginning or joined Gearbox when it was already a bit advanced.
