This would be achieved by YouTube users, thanks to the new iPhone 15 Pro, a smartphone with the same capabilities as Apple announced to us earlier. No need for tricks or weird tutorials.
Now you can run computer games on your mobile phone
This was one of the great new products that the Tim Cook brand brought us this month, but we didn’t know if it was something theoretical or if it would really be as beautiful as we were told. And apparently, that’s how it is.
An Asian YouTuber named Zhong showed us how he would run Resident Evil Village with his simple iPhone 15 Pro, just like if he had a console or computer at hand. To do this, you simply connect your phone to the monitor and pair the controller, in this case the PlayStation DualSense.
All this thanks to the new A17 Pro chip that Apple would include in its phones. Which can turn them into a portable console.
As we can see in the video, this game will work just as if we were running it on a console, which is very impressive and raises a lot of questions. In addition, it has the advantage that we already have a built-in screen (mobile) as well as a touch option, so that this console, to play all those titles that hooked us, will always be available in our hands.
In the Resident Evil Village game settings, Zhong specifies that the resolution is 1560 by 720 with HDR enabled. In addition, the frame rate is fixed at 30 frames per second. However, it achieves more than enough fluidity and quality.
Could this be the end of Xbox and Play? If the next chip gets even better, why would we buy a console when we can do the same with our iPhone?

For now, we need to see more tests, games and performance tests. But from what we’ve seen so far… things don’t look too bad at all.
Apple has taken a big step with this novelty, and we know that when this brand releases something, it usually works, and above all, they usually copy it, so it won’t be surprising if we see the next Xiaomi with a similar chip and even with a gift of a remote control with a mobile phone, or something similar to try to promote this feature.
The smartphone is the device we use most of the time, so developers are increasingly trying to fit everything into it without requiring other external hardware. This is something we see in other features, such as the camera that should one day replace the SLR, in such a small size.
And you, what do you think about it? Do you think the next smartphones will be capable of much more? Will we abandon desktop consoles in the future?
