LinkedIn is launching an AI-powered job description talent search feature

Rohan Rajeev, the platform’s senior director of product management, explained to The Verge how this will work. Artificial intelligence will analyze the information available in profiles and suggest results based on relevance and proximity of connections.

LinkedIn is currently one of the most trusted platforms for job hunting online. At the end of October, Satya Nadella, the CEO of Microsoft, the owner of the company, noted that the social network exceeded 1.2 billion registered users worldwide.

Now the company intends to take search and recruitment to a new level with the help of artificial intelligence (AI). LinkedIn is implementing a feature based on this technology that will allow users to find talent based on descriptions.

Networking with IA

According to a report by The Verge, the idea behind this tool is to simplify the search for contacts and professional opportunities in an increasingly digital and globalized work context. Rohan Rajeev, senior director of product management at LinkedIn, explained to the outlet how it will work: AI will analyze the information available in profiles and suggest results based on relevance and proximity of connections.

This means that the search will not only return results that match a specific description, but will also prioritize those who may be most available or helpful because of your professional network. For now, this feature will be available first to Premium users in the United States, allowing LinkedIn to evaluate its performance and accuracy of results.

After that, it will be distributed to other users, completely changing the traditional network experience. In addition, it puts LinkedIn ahead of its competitors with a personalized method based on the description of skills, experience and location.
