He MWC 2026 has once again turned Barcelona into the epicenter of the mobile industry. Although a new family Samsung Galaxy S26 was officially presented on February 25, his presence in Mobile World Congress 2026 confirms that the Ultra model continues to be one of the protagonists of the year.
We are trying Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra during the fair, and these are five features that distinguish it not only from its direct competitors, but also from previous generations within the brand itself.
1. 60W fast charging: debt with users is calculated
For the first time in the Galaxy S line, Samsung is making a significant leap in charging speed. The S26 Ultra supports wired charging up to 60 wattswhich allows you to carry the battery 5000 mAh 75% in just 30 minutes.
It’s true that it doesn’t lead the market in absolute numbers – there are devices that reach 90W, 120W and even more – but for long-time followers of the brand, this is the progress that has been waiting for years. In addition, the device also supports 25W wireless charging.
Important detail: the charger is not included. However, this is not a branded accessory. Any standard charger of 65W and above is compatible, avoiding dependence on a closed ecosystem.
Compared to the predecessor, the leap is obvious. And although it is not the fastest on the market, it combines speed, thermal safety and real autonomy in daily use.
2. Expansion (although still limited) of satellite communications
The S26 Ultra supports and extends the satellite connectivity introduced in the previous generation. Just like him Samsung Galaxy S25allows you to send emergency messages in areas without traditional mobile coverage.
Samsung has announced new agreements with operators in the northern hemisphere to expand the reach of the service, which does not yet have additional costs. The operation is similar to the satellite emergency system that Apple has offered for generations.
This feature is not available in all markets at this time and its rollout will depend on regional agreements. Even so, it marks a key difference in a segment where security and connectivity in extreme situations are starting to be a concrete buying argument.
3. Screen with selective privacy: a unique innovation
This is where one of the S26 Ultra’s truly differentiating features comes into play.
Samsung debuts screen technology that allows darken certain parts of the panel to avoid side views. Unlike classic physical filters that stick to the screen, this solution is completely digital and activated on demand.
The user can decide whether they want to apply privacy to the entire screen or only to specific areas, such as the field where they enter their password or banking information.
The system works by selectively turning off certain pixels to limit the viewing angle. A horse? Slight decrease in overall brightness when activated. However, exposure was minimal during testing.
In practical terms, it’s a more elegant and flexible solution than any physical accessory, and for now it’s exclusive to this model.
4. Video with hyper stabilization and “horizon lock”
The camera section adds another relevant novelty: a recording mode with advanced hyperstabilization and horizon fixation.
In practice, this means that the user can move the phone more freely – tilt it, shake it or change its orientation – and the video will maintain a fixed horizon relative to the original recording position.
If we start recording vertically, the video will not rotate even if we rotate the phone. The system compensates for sharp movements and maintains stability even in 4K recordings without compromising resolution.
Does it completely replace the gimbal? For many everyday scenarios, yes. Especially for content creators who shoot on the move and need stability without additional accessories.
Of course, you have to activate the feature before you start recording. It is not automatic.
5. AI Call Filtering in Spanish: The phone is in charge for you
The fifth important news is a function based on artificial intelligence: AI call filtering.
When receiving a call from an unknown or spam number, the user can allow the phone to answer automatically. The system will ask the interlocutor to name himself and explain the reason for the call, transcribe the answer on the screen in real time and let him decide whether to answer or decline.
Spanish is one of the 13 supported languages, so it will be available on devices sold in Argentina starting March 11th.
In a context where unwanted calls continue to rise, this feature aims to improve the daily experience and reduce unnecessary interruptions.
A flagship that strives to differentiate itself through experience
In addition to the traditional specifications – processor, multiple cameras or sophisticated design – the Galaxy S26 Ultra tries to stand out with specific functions that affect daily use.
Faster charging fixes legacy issues, satellite connectivity adds security, a selective privacy display represents true hardware innovation, hyper stabilization improves content creation, and AI Call Filtering redefines call management.
In an increasingly competitive premium market, Samsung strives to stand out not only with power, but also with practical solutions. And after testing at MWC 2026, it’s clear that the S26 Ultra isn’t just an incremental upgrade: it’s a strategic move to distance itself from the competition — and itself.
