Over 20 classic video games Warhammer are back on Steam thanks to a new initiative called Classic Warhammercreated by publisher SNEG in collaboration with Games Workshop.
This label works as a preservation program that brings together titles released since the 90s, many of which never made it to Steam or were removed over time. In total, the collection includes more than 20 games, some of which are debuting on the platform for the first time, while others are returning after years of absence.
All the names were there updated to run on modern systemskeeping the original gameplay but with improved compatibility and performance.
Among the games included are the following: Warhammer: Shadow of the Horned Rat, Warhammer 40,000: Gate of Chaos, Warhammer: Dark Omen in Final Liberation: Warhammer Epic 40,000which covers various genres such as strategy, tactics and action.
According to those responsible, the goal of the project is as follows preserve the legacy of the franchise and make it accessible to new generations, preventing these titles from becoming obsolete due to the passage of time or technical limitations.
