Pinterest has announced the official launch of a new AI-powered tool that will help users select products, answer style questions and make purchasing decisions on the platform.
System, no Pinterest Assistantis available now and is designed to offer personalized offers based on each person’s individual aesthetic, with a particular focus on fashion, lifestyle and decor.
According to the company, the assistant is integrated directly into the view and combines user-stored content with information derived from advanced visual modelsin order to facilitate immediate recommendations while exploring pins, boards, and collages.

The feature will allow the user to see specific ideas for specific use cases – such as what to wear to an event, how to match clothes already saved on boards, or which items match a certain aesthetic reference – without having to leave Pinterest or manually search for each item on the platform.
Assistant doesn’t work as a generic text chatbot. Pinterest emphasized that the technology behind the feature is primarily based on a visual language model that prioritizes understanding images, trends and styles, rather than relying solely on traditional word processing.
this allows you to interpret styles, compare elements, and present ordered visual results that have conceptual consistency. The user can ask open questions, turn on the microphone and describe what he is looking for. Based on this description, the system will deliver appropriate picture suggestions with listening and audio response capabilities.
The company noted that this integration not only expands the concept of “multimodal search,” but also makes navigation feel more like human advice than a traditional query in a text box.

Another key feature is customizing based on historical behavior on the platform. Pinterest clarified that the system is not based on a shared basisbut analyzes Pins you’ve saved, boards you’ve created or your own collages, and related content from other people with similar tastes.
In terms of user experience, the assistant will be able to suggest clothes, decorative elements or complete combinations, and depending on what the user has saved or tagged, it will generate options that can be purchased directly on Pinterest.
Specific examples include cases such as:
- Combinations of already saved clothing items to create a complete outfit
- Tips for choosing bedding suitable for cold weather
- Visual ideas for those who want to update their style
According to the social network, this feature responds to the growth of behavior found especially among young users, especially generation Z, who use Pinterest not only for aesthetic inspiration, but also as a place for consultation before purchasing.
The company explained that the goal is to accompany all stages of the process: from the idea to the final decision on the purchase. This includes navigation, inspiration, visual comparison, product search and direct recommendation of products available for sale on the platform.
Pinterest confirmed that the tool is already deployed and its use does not require additional activation processes. It integrates with regular boards, pins, and visualizations, and can be interacted with using text or voice.
The company said this AI-powered layer will allow users to not only find aesthetic references more quickly, but also make specific decisions about what to buy based on contextual personalized suggestions tailored to individual style.
