Looking back on their Pokemon Legends: Arceus games, fans couldn’t help but recall the “nightmare from hell,” encounters that caused them all sorts of problems.
When Pokemon Legends: Arceus launched in January 2022, it brought much-needed innovation to the Pokemon franchise by offering insight into the history of the Shino region.
After an overwhelmingly positive reception, the franchise would continue its success with the release of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, despite the obvious technical issues.
With another Legends game rumored to be in the works, Pokemon fans are now reflecting on their time with Arceus and recalling one encounter series they weren’t a fan of.

Pokemon Legends: The encounter with Arceus left trainers with mental scars
In response to a tweet asking what’s harder to do than one soldier’s impressive weightlifting routine, Pokemon content creator Shiny Catherine reminded everyone of some particularly tough Legends: Arceus encounters.
“Catching these ugly dudes in the legends of Arceus,” replied a tweet featuring the forces of nature: Tornado, Tundurus, and Landor.

Forces of nature are notoriously difficult to catch in Pokemon Legends: Arceus for a few key reasons. First, they only appear in certain areas under certain conditions, and second, they move a lot and are extremely fast, making it difficult for a thrown pokeball to land.

Others echoed Kathryn’s sentiments, replying: “I caught a Landerus in 1 big ball the first time when the other 2 were hellish nightmares”
Another trainer commented: “I’ve been killed so many times by a freaking wild gyrados when I’ve gone tundurus. I ended up bringing one from home to finish the dex entry.’
“Torn and lando were easy for me, but THUNDURUS AND ENAMORUS BARELY MADE ME ON THE NEWS,” said another reply, highlighting how annoying some of The Forces of Nature were to catch.

The frustration of not being able to catch Pokemon isn’t limited to Switch entries, with several Pokemon Go players also expressing frustration with the catch rate.
