From Cordoba to Dubai: Genara is the Red Bull Tetris National Champion
Genaro, alias Giotto, is 18 years old and studies philosophy at the National University of Córdoba.

How does it feel to be the National Red Bull Tetris Champion?
It’s a beautiful feeling, I really can’t explain it in words, but it’s a very nice feeling. I’ve been preparing for a long time, and it’s almost like a dream to be here.
How did you feel during the National Finals?
The truth is that it cost me little. I knew in my mind that I didn’t have much of a chance, but as the moment approached I became more and more confident and eventually I got on stage and showed that I could give a lot.
How did this craze for Tetris come about?
I have always, since childhood, played many games on the computer. In 2020, I discovered Tetris through a game called Tetris 99. And from that moment I loved it, I started playing and playing and that’s how I got to where I am today.
How does it feel to represent the country in Dubai?
I’ve already represented Argentina in Tetris a few times, but in Dubai it’s something completely unique. So I guess I’ll see it at this point. I will try to rank the country as high as possible.
