Samsung has stopped selling its foldable Galaxy Z TriFold device, which has three screens and two hinges to reach 10 inches, three months after it went on sale in South Korea.
Samsung’s website in countries where the Galaxy Z TriFold went on sale says the device is out of stock, with no indication of a possible replacement.
The reason lies in the company’s decision to withdraw the device from the market, starting with South Korea, the first country where it started selling after the presentation last December, according to Bloomberg.
The US market will soon follow once the “stock” runs out, as revealed by the spokeswoman for the aforementioned media.
The Galaxy Z TriFold was introduced in December with another offering in the world of foldable devices: three screens and two hinges that offer a 10-inch screen in full deployment.
With this device, Samsung aimed to take performance and premium Ultra phones “to the next level” with a large, immersive screen that provides “maximum performance” for work and “movie viewing”.
The premium category was also present in the price. In Korea, it was sold for 3,594,000 won, and in the United States – for 2,899 dollars (about 2,500 euros at the current exchange rate).
