- Salesforce announces that Slackbot is now publicly available
- Business+ and Enterprise+ customers can now use artificial intelligence tools
- Slackbot promises a smarter and more efficient way of working
Salesforce has revealed that its Slackbot AI tool is now publicly available to users, promising a new era of productivity and efficiency.
First announced at Dreamforce 2025, Slackbot is now available to all Business+ and Enterprise+ customers, integrating not only data from Slack and Salesforce, but also third-party apps and services like Google Drive and its Calendar app.
The company says that Slackbot can offer users a significant advantage because it not only provides basic advice or support, but also fully understands their conversations and the context in which they occur, and has the ability (and permission) to scan the entire system to get the information they need immediately.
Slackbot is here
“Slackbot isn’t just an AI co-pilot or assistant. It’s a gateway to the Salesforce-powered agentic enterprise,” said Parker Harris, Salesforce co-founder and CTO of Slack.
“It brings artificial intelligence based on your company data, workflows and Slack conversations directly into the workflow. This is an important step in realizing the future we’re building: bringing Agentforce 360 to life with an intuitive conversational interface and empowering every person with enterprise-grade artificial intelligence.”
This approach means that Slackbot is ready to become a member of your team, not just a simple AI agent, but with access to the context around messages that your files, channels, and even your colleagues understand, and that can quickly activate and communicate with one tap in Slack.
Salesforce says the tool can be useful for a wide range of tasks, from simple questions like “find me the file Steve sent me about the Q4 results” or “give me an update on Project Phoenix.”
But by connecting to third-party systems, Slackbot can help you find time to schedule a meeting with your team, set reminders for important deadlines, or mention any missed priorities from the to-do list created after your last status call.
It can also be useful when connecting to your Salesforce data, as teams can access general customer information to prepare for a presentation or sales call, or identify an account issue and prepare next steps if needed.
Salesforce says Slackbot is rolling out now and will only grow and get smarter as more systems integrate with it in the future; We hope to hear more soon.
