FF7 Rebirth’s sales in the United States are lower than Final Fantasy XVI’s during the same time period
To date, one of the best video games of 2024 is Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth. Many players enjoy Square Enix Open World JRPG, but there is one aspect that remains a mystery to users and that is sales. A few weeks ago, we told you that according to analysts’ estimates it was selling below the other games in the saga, and the first part of the remake was mentioned.
The company remains silent about this business efficiencyand a few days ago there were data confirming that the second part of Final Fantasy VII you don’t get the same sales of recent franchise titles. It was revealed that FF7 Rebirth’s sales in the United States were lower than Final Fantasy XVI’s the same time periodas Circana analyst Matt Piscatello confirmed to GameFile.
Despite this, sales Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is the fourth best-selling video game in the US in 2024, but its sales “are decreased by a double-digit percentage compared to Final Fantasy VII Remake over the same period” (via Wccftech). This isn’t to say that Square Enix’s situation is a disaster, it’s just that it’s selling below other parts of the saga, and it’s unclear if the company expected it or if it fits expectations.
What about Final Fantasy VII Rebirth on PC?
The title is expected to continue to reach more people on PS5 as time goes on, but there are also many users waiting for its release on PC. This is not given enough attention, but it is important to remember that exclusivity period ends on May 29, 2024. Square Enix hasn’t announced a PC launch, and it looks like it’ll be a few months before we see it on computers.
