Ace 6T: OnePlus’ new flagship smartphone debuts in China with Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset

OnePlus has expanded its line of affordable Ace series flagships by launching the new Ace 6T smartphone in China. The same smartphone will be launched in the global market as the OnePlus 15R. The Ace 6T is the company’s first smartphone with Qualcomm’s recently announced Snapdragon 8 Gen 5.

The Ace 6T features a 6.7-inch flat OLED display with a 1.5K (2780 x 1264) resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate. It has a dual rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP primary camera and an 8MP ultra-wide lens. As for selfies, it has a 32-megapixel front-facing snapper for selfies and video chats.

For those looking to learn more about the device, the Ace 6T packs a slightly bigger battery than the Ace 6, with a whopping 8,000mAh battery with support for 100W wired fast charging (the Anker Nano 100W USB-C Charger is available now for $31.99 on Amazon ). Additionally, the smartphone’s metal frame is said to use the same micro-arc oxidation coating as the OnePlus 15. It also has multiple water resistance ratings, including IP68, IP69, and IP69K.

Available in black, green and purple, the OnePlus Ace 6T runs the latest ColorOS 16 in China. It also has dedicated evaporative chamber cooling that keeps the smartphone cool under load.
