Newly released dashcam footage shows two LAPD officers ignoring an active robbery to catch the rare creatures in Pokémon Go. The footage shows the driver ignoring stop signs, driving through quiet residential areas and going the wrong way on a one-way road. All this was done to catch Snoringrelaxed and Togetic.
In 2022 we reported on the newly released court documents which is revealed a 2017 incident involving two LAPD officers who drove dangerously and ignored direct orders while playing the hit mobile game, Pokémon Go. Luis Lozano and Eric Mitchell skipped their jobs to catch rare digital critters and then lied about their actions. Both law enforcement officers have served a combined 28 years. After a 2017 investigation revealed what they did, the two officers were fired. Last year we had no footage of what happened. Now, six years later, the video has finally arrived.

As Koebler points out, the footage proves that the previously mentioned report was accurate. But this new video also reveals more details about what happened and shows just how recklessly the officers acted.
New footage shows LAPD officers trying to catch them all
As can be seen in an edited version of a three-hour video from the video recorder, compiled 404 mass media, the officers can be seen speeding away in their patrol car. The two rear doors are dangerously behind many cars, forcing other drivers to get out of the way. Elsewhere in the video, police officers can be seen speeding through a residential area, running a stop sign, and flying around lying police officers.
Apparently, the police were driving so fast because they were afraid the Snorlax would disappear after the short timer ran out, saying in the video, “It’s going to turn pink and change into something else.”
After losing the Snorlax, the two officers track down the Togetic and, while catching him, talk about Pokemon knowledge In accordance with 404 mass media, the two policemen mentioned that Togetic is an evolution of Togepi and discussed that the creature knows “Hidden Power”, a rare move in the series. Officer Mitchell later suggests that the Master Ball items are hidden in the game’s code and that they will one day be added to the game. Minutes later, Mitchell and Lozano were questioned by a senior officer who was baffled as to why the two, who were near the scene of the robbery, did not show up for 40 minutes. Their boss added that it was “alarming” that they did not hear the radio and did not respond “promptly”.
At this point, both officers decided to lie and explain that they had not heard the radio, claiming that they were “not always” in the car when backup requests were transmitted. However, the video shows that at least one of the two officers was in the patrol car at all times during the incident. As mentioned, they were fired in 2017 following an investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department.
