Forza Motorsport needs improvements on PC due to poor performance

The next one October 10 when the latest and highly anticipated title from Turn 10 Studios, the Forza Motorsport, and there are still performance complaints. Until then, we’ll have to make do with the early reviews, which show that at this point, less than a week after launch, the game can’t be considered optimized. Or at least in its PC version. As for ratings, Metacritic has it so far and 8.4 on Xbox and and 8.3 on a PC.

This Xbox exclusive saga debuted in 2005. Since then, the title has had a steady schedule. This means releasing a new part every two years. Of course, this game has been in development for much longer, specifically 6 years. This was due to various issues, one of which was COVID. So, having lost launch stability, they’ve already taken the opportunity to add improvements. That’s why Forza Motorsport is launching a new physics simulation system that’s now much more realistic. To give us an idea, was improved 48 times accuracy of the tire collision model compared to the previous part.

Great progress in modeling and visual quality

Forza Motorsport

This new part is also the premiere the new ForzaTech graphics engine, and is the first Forza exclusive for the new generation of Xbox consoles and PC. This graphics engine makes important visual improvements. A fully procedurally generated cloud system has been added. We also have real-time ray tracing and ambient occlusion, volumetric fog, better textures and physics-based rendering (PBR). The global lighting system is expected to arrive later through a new update.

As if that wasn’t enough, it is compatible with scaling technologies NVIDIA DLSS 2 and AMD FSR 2.2. Also, to get the most out of your NVMe SSD, use Microsoft DirectStorage technology. On console, this game comes with no less than three graphical configuration modes. We have quality (ray-traced 4K at 30fps), ray-traced performance (4K at 60fps) and performance (4K at 60fps).

Forza Motorsport has serious performance issues

On their own Forza Motorsport requirementsthe ideal requirements were an Intel Core i7-11700K processor or AMD Ryzen 7 5800X. At the N GPU levelVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 or AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT. Well, this hardware is unlikely to allow you to transfer the game 4K and 30 FPS with maximum graphics quality.

The proof is brought to you by Wccftech. Z AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3Dthe best gaming processor on the market along with a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 (best GPU), 32 GB of RAM and NVMe SSD, gaming performance at the level 4K in Ultra was 39 FPS. In the benchmark that includes the game, you can even see the drop to 13.3 FPS. Worst of all, this performance was due to the use of scaling technology NVIDIA DLSS in performance.

When ray tracing is removed from the equation we move to the mean 49 frames per second with a drop to 14.4 FPS. So eliminating ray tracing barely increases performance by 10 FPS. It is also stated that this is the worst case scenario since the benchmark is very intensive due to the quality of the circuit in question. Added to this is rain and a night race where ray tracing has a greater impact on lighting.

Even though the game launches next week, it’s too short a time for that to change significantly. So it will be touched stay tuned for future updates Forza Motorsport that improve performance.
