At first glance, everything seems normal, but it took some time for players to read between the lines and discover the supposed double meaning, which refers to the controversy that took place in the title in 2020.
“In the Night City, the rules are different and the stakes are higher. One wrong move is enough to burn you,” says actor Idris Elba, who plays Solomon Reed in the open-world video game. There are those who argue that this phrase refers to how CDPR “burned out” for a mistake in its initial launch.
