A few days before the final of Art Copa Libertadoresmany people will follow a sporting event through television. But in order not to miss small things, there are certain signs that warn about the need to change equipment.
Lima will be the scene of this final between Palmeiras and Flamengo next Saturday, November 29, at 16:00. Therefore, consider these characteristics when changing TVs.

TCL Electronics PerĂº indicates that the ideal lifespan of a TV is between 7 and 10 years. After this date, there is usually a tendency to lose brightness, color, amplitude of contrast and smoothness in movement.
Another effect on older TVs is that the power consumption is usually insufficient for 4K transmissions.
Roberto de la Cruz, vice president of TCL Electronics Peru, noted that users are looking for “greater clarity in motion, better performance in dark scenes and exciting sound that accompanies the emotion of the match.”
Some signs that you should already be looking for a new TV:
1- When movement leaves marks and the ball appears blurred (“ghosting”). This is due to the low refresh rate typical of older hardware. Current models offer up to 144Hz and MEMC technology, which smooths out motion and guarantees the ultra-fluid image required in high-tempo matches such as finals.

2- Everything looks like a black spot in dark scenes. Older TVs have limited light control. In contrast, modern technologies such as QD-Mini LED use thousands of mini lights that are individually dimmed to achieve deep blacks, greater brightness and detail that make the difference in night games or technical replays.
3- When low quality videos look “square” or pixelated. If the image appears distorted or full of pixels when viewing old content on YouTube, it means that the TV’s processor does not have the ability to scale. The latest models include AI processors that reconstruct edges, enhance textures and clean up digital noise, resulting in a much sharper image, even if the source is not HD.
4- If the sound is flat and does not convey the atmosphere of the stadium. The current generation of TVs incorporates Dolby Atmos-compatible systems capable of creating an immersive experience where sound seems to emanate from the entire environment, bringing the viewer closer to a real stadium experience.
5- When the equipment overheats and consumes an excessive amount of energy. Older components require more energy to operate, and this affects the life of the equipment, increases power consumption and can cause unexpected failures. Modern TVs prioritize energy efficiency, operating at lower temperatures and extending their lifespan.
