Our spotlight on the Pokémon TCG: Scarlet & Violet – Paldea Evolved series moves on to rare illustrations that are thematically related.

It all started with Scarlet and purple a core set that made significant, lasting changes to the hobby. The card frames are now silver, matching the Japanese releases. Another major change is that every pack now has at least a gala rare and two reverse galas. The main mechanic of this era is the lower register ex, which has a dual holographic pattern with a horizontal shine and a star shine. Former Full Art members now use a green foil outline around the Pokemon. The Secret Rare section of future expansions contains Full Arts, Illustration Rares and Special Illustration Rare exs, Full Art Trainers, Special Illustration Rare Trainers and Gold Hyper Rares. June 9, 2023 Pokemon TCG released the second set of this era, Scarlet and Purple – Paldea Evolved, which focused on Paldean Novices and Ruin Treasure Legendaries. In today’s installment of this Scarlet and Purple – Paldea Evolved With the art in focus, we’re starting to move into the Secret Rare section of this set.
Secret Rare Chapters Scarlet and purpleEra sets include several types of cards, including Full Arts, Tera Full Arts, Hyper Rare Gold, Illustration Rares, and Special Illustration Rares. However, rare illustrations and special rare illustrations define this era. It’s like alternative art forms, but they stand out because of what they all have in common Scarlet and purplesets of the era. Rare standard artwork depicts Pokemon in their habitat, be it in the wild or in a trainer’s home, but TCG takes a step forward. All of the evolutionary lines of this era either connect visually to create a single image, or connect thematically to tell a narrative story. This is especially important for Paldea Evolved, which focuses mainly on the evolution of Paldean Starters.
