More news about Batman: Arkham Trilogy for Switch is coming our way again. It turns out that their technical analysis is already fully published.
After some initial impressions called it underwhelming, the team at Digital Foundry has now taken a detailed look at the Batman Arkham Trilogy on Nintendo Switch. Here’s what was shared:
- They describe the collection as unattractive and with performance issues.
- Arkham Knight presents the worst experience on Switch with unstable framerates, especially while flying.
- There is a sub-30fps frame rate with almost constant drops, especially when moving around the open world.
- Drops to 20-25fps are common when you’re cruising around town, and the framerate stabilizes a bit when we’re on location.
- They note that the game is stabilized on the ground, but still has some serious visual compromises.
- Arkham Knight’s resolution is 810p in dock and 540p in handheld mode.
- The loss of fidelity is obvious compared to the home console versions, with textures and details being noticeably reduced.
- Digital Foundry considers Batman: Arkham Knight on Switch to be the worst performer they’ve looked at, with frame rate issues and visual changes affecting the feel of the game.
- Two other games have performance issues: Arkham Asylum’s frame rate drops.
- According to Digital Foundry, despite being games from the Xbox 360 and PS3 era, the results on the Switch are poor.
