Pokémon and Minecraft fans should keep an eye out for the upcoming creature-capturing RPG, Fantasy portal. The indie game combines creatures, quests and skill to bring a new twist to the beloved genre.
Fantasy portal tasks players with creating worlds for others to explore, which can then be used to create lands, set traps, and design epic adventures as an architect. On the other hand, as a hero, you will be able to solve quests, explore the realm and find creatures to capture. The turn-based combat will be reminiscent of Pokémon, allowing you to capture creatures, while the building and crafting elements will remind you of classics such as Roblox and Minecraft.

“It’s been 2,000 years since the War of the Goddesses – Ravenna is dead and the Kingdom of Pili is thriving again,” reads the official Steam synopsis. “Or so it seems. Unbeknownst to the Porbles, the ancient magical creatures inhabiting the Desert began to turn against the humans. Outside the capital, chaos reigns everywhere. Enter a world teetering on the edge of chaos as you take on the mantle of the Hero, an adventurer capable of taming Porble, or the Architect, a magical being capable of creating worlds. It is up to you, brave traveler, to unravel the secrets of the Kingdom.’
An epic story campaign will allow you to explore vast territories, meet interesting inhabitants and assemble your squad, while creating the world you want to see thanks to the dynamic map editor. Once you’ve created your squad, you’ll be able to battle others in battle, choosing between six different elements and over 150 skills.
In addition, Fantasy portal will have a multiplayer mode that will allow you to immerse yourself in cooperative quests and PvP duels. “We’re big fans of pixel RPGs and always wanted to make one where everyone could easily create their own levels,” say the developers. “Over the past couple of years, we’ve put everything into making this a reality, and we hope you have as much fun with this game as we did making it!”
Fantasy portal no release date yet, but it’s already available on Steam wishlist.
